Laura Dern and Benecio Del Toro join Star Wars Episode VIII, Amy Adams signs for Sharp Objects, and More in Sunday News. Plus: Orphan Black and Veep return.
If you're like me and moderately depressed that last December's Star Wars euphoria has snuffed out, then Disney has come just in time with the right medicine: Luke Skywalker staring intently at that lightsaber he's been looking for.

Star Wars, Episode VIII is officially in production, teasing out the first moments of shooting, right where Forces Awakens left off. It even decided to throw in some very auspicious casting news into the mix. Dr. Ellie is leaving the Jurassic period for a new galaxy, and Marvel's Collector is going with her.
Disney's not done, though. They've decided to help Emily Blunt from a tough day's at work in Sicario with a (probably) more pleasant time as the new Mary Poppins.

Of course, others have roles to fill as well. Amy Adams has just signed for the TV adaptation of a Gillian Flynn first novel, Sharp Objects (Yes, she wrote books before Gone Girl). And once again Adams will be a reporter making bad decisions (Clark Kent is a bad Decision).

Oh, and randomly: Congratulations to JEB! for finally having an excuse to stop pretending he wants to be president.
