FINALLY!! Someone's realized Judy Greer can own her own show, new Nelson Mandela film planned, and more in Sunday News.
Judy Greer is the latest to be cast as a female lead for Fox network, taking the role of Jane, a human resources manager for a... plastics plant? hmm, alright. Five bucks she's insubordinate because she doesn't recognize supervisors.
Maven Pictures has also slated to produce a Nelson Mandela pic based on Zelda La Grange's book Good Morning, Mr. Mandela, based on her experiences as friend and personal assistant to the iconic leader.
Apparently Jimmy Smits has gone from tough guy cop to possible traitorous politician in 24: Legacy. He'll star as Senator John Donovan, who's married to lead Miranda Otto's character. So much for thinking he'd be Jack Bauer-lite.
Smits joins Otto, Teddy Sears from Masters of Sex, and Straight Outta Compton's Corey Hawkins in the 24 reboot which still leaves me moderately apprehensive. But you can't deny it's a promising cast so far, Just no Sutherland. Maybe there's just too many bad cops out there, with Bill Paxton slated for the new Training Day series...
NERDS REJOICE!! Wrath of Kahn director Nicholas Meyer is returning to the final frontier as a 'consulting' producer and writer. Whatever that means. Probably he'll just assume control and toss Trek's most infamous baddy because reasons.
