ABC cancels a slew of shows, including The Family and surprisingly Castle. But it's okay. Mr. Robot is safe from their clutches on USA, and just launched a new trailer for season 2.

-Castle is done. In a move that was shocking after strong faith that season 9 would happen (albeit without its female lead), ABC has opted to cancel the series after struggling with contracts for it's two leads, Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic (plus others). Katic bid farewell in a note to fans and crew. But let's admit, Firefly deserved much the same. Network television is a cruel realm.
-Oh, but ABC's not done. It also canceled Nashville, The Family, and Galavant in a mass layoff that rakes nightmares of job insecurity at all points.

-AND CBS is moving Supergirl to the CW. But that last will probably be their loss. If I ever make it as a writer, remind me to stay clear of the old guard networks.
-In a shrewder move perhaps, Fox is holding 24: Legacy for a Super Bowl bump. The premiere with the first hour set after the big game/ which should bolsters the espionage thriller reboot, even sans Jack Bauer.
-You know what's NOT canceled. Motherfuckin' MR. ROBOT. Check out the awesome season 2 trailer!!
-In news that surprises no one, but is hope good writing everywhere, Captain America: Civil War surpasses Batman versus Superman in the box office. Really, it surpassed Zack Snyder's amorphous blob of a film in so many ways. It is a supremely better film. Just... not even in the same justice league.

This week in trailers: Kanye is not a God, But Assasin's Creed still looks good. And there's more for USA than Mr. Robot.
